One of the main attractions to Northern California is Shasta Lake, located just north of Redding. The outstretched winding arms of this man made reservoir stretch for miles and miles offering countless adventures. Whether it be fishing, kayaking, water skiing, tubing, wake boarding or just relaxing on a houseboat, Shasta Lake will leave a lasting impression on all who experience the beautiful waters of the lake.

Further to the west is Trinity Lake. Tucked back in the rugged mountains of Trinity County, Trinity Lake is another jewel in the rough. Heading west on Highway 299 out of Redding past Whiskey Town Lake, you will find yourself carving through deep forested canyons and winding across lofty ridges finally to arrive at the blue waters of Trinity Lake, another large man made reservoir. Here you will find a water sport play land, with morning glass and a common mid day breeze. Although it is around half the size of Shasta Lake, Trinity Lake will not disappoint and will fill your primal need for nature and aspiring beauty.

River Rafting and Kayaking

Turtle River Rafting Company-  Turtle River Whitewater Rafting Company has been guiding whitewater rafting trips in California on the Klamath, Trinity, Sacramento, Salmon, and Scott rivers since 1976. In the early 80's we added the Rogue, Upper Klamath, and Owyhee rivers in Oregon to our schedule.
