Overview
At around 6,500', Kangaroo Lake is one of the highest lakes accesible by car in the Klamath National Forest. The lake is 25 acres and perfect for canoeing, swimming, fishing or just relaxing. There are 13 drive-up camsites as well as 5 walk-in including a handicap accessible campsite. Walled by granite cliffs to the west, the lake is a beauty to behold, with a pretty constant level and temperature. For the botany lovers, there is the Fen Trail which covers the Kangaroo Lake Botanical Special Interest Area.

The lake can become busy in the peak season, so plan ahead and don't expect to be alone. The campsites are first come first serve basis with water, pinic tables, fire rings (subject to restrictions) and vault toilets.
